Lakota tipis

On the property there are genuine American Indian tipis made by Nomadics Tipi in United States that made tipis for Kevin Costner’s movie “Dances With Wolves”. Being inside a tipi is living a step closer to nature.

During the day, a tipi has a mellow, even illumination that has never been equaled in a house. When it rains, it is cozy and dry inside while the drumming of the raindrops overhead soothes the soul. At night, especially during the full moon, shadows of surrounding trees are painted on the cover of the wall and with clear skies, stars shine down between the poles. Read more…

Facilities

Saloon

Whether you want to join our family style dinner around a big table or you are looking for a quiet corner, you are in for a culinary treat. From pre-dawn until long into the night, the Saloon (a former horse barn), together with an adjoining Square is a hub of gentle and cheerful activity. It starts around 6 AM when the breakfast crew comes for their morning shift and sets a pot of cowboy coffee atop antique cast iron stove we affectionately call Dora. It continues throughout the day with the first class breakfast, lunch and dinners staged alfresco in the Square, whenever possible.

Hot Tub

Soak yourself in a traditional Japanese ofuro wooden tub heated by a woodstove, helping the Ranch to adhere to its commitment to a low carbon footprint. This ancient technique of immersion in hot water takes away tensions and stress, soothes muscle pains and stimulates blood circulation. Feel for yourself why soaking tub has been used by the different cultures for centuries to alleviate both physical and spiritual maladies. During evening enjoy stargazing from warm water with a glass of bubbly champagne or single malt scotch from our reserve list.

Heated Swimming Pool

Freshen up after the morning horseback ride or chill out on a lounge chair and read your favorite book in the afternoon. The hangout spot for children and grown-ups alike. Kids love playing pool games like volleyball or water handball. During high season we organize a pool cocktail party once a week.

Riding Arena

Our outdoor riding arena is adjacent to the barn. This is where riding classes, horsemanship lectures and demonstrations are held. We train and exercise our horses on the soft grass of the arena and cowboy games are also organized here.

Equipond

Equipond is a specially designed training ground for horses to help develop their strength, ensure the fastest rehabilitation possible and enable horses to overcome a fear of water. It is great for riders too it shows how the horse will behave near the water and helps you learn how to calm the horse in the water.

Studio Hall

Honey-hued wood paneled walls embrace the great Studio room with rock encased wood stove, library and selection of fine Japanese artifacts. Space serves as yoga studio as well as cinema, workshop space, library and meeting hall.

The Square

The Square is a major meeting point at the Ranch. On one side sits the reception office. Across from it is the Saloon, from where gentle notes of country music keep coming from. On the northern side is the kitchen, where our delicious meals are prepared. Southside offers views of horse pastures. This is where dances are held, where you grab a beer after a horseback ride, or where you come to take a refreshing lunch before another dip in a heated swimming pool.

The Barn

Favorite hangout spot for wranglers and guests alike. All horse buzz happens here: feeding, grooming, saddling, introductory lessons. This is where our tack room and the activity room are located. You are bound to find a bunch of kids here, helping out our wranglers get horses ready from sun-up to sun-down.
